Day out to the Rat Inn and Corbridge

Sorry that I haven't posted here in a while, but I did manage to get all my photography coursework finished in time for my deadline, so hopefully I'll have more free time to write blog posts now. (Not very likely, thanks for that A levels) We meant to take my grandparents for a day out a while ago, but have only just got round to doing so, we went for lunch at the Rat Inn near Hexham, which was really nice! For me, there was the option of having any of their sandwiches made on gluten-free bread, or a variety of things from the main course menu. I opted for the lamb with potato, veg and mint gravy, and it was really delicious. I always love going out for 'pub grub', it has been more difficult recently as a lot of gravies and sausages contain gluten, but the staff made sure my meal was 100% gluten free, so I'd definitely recommend it to anyone else on a gluten free diet.

Yum!
After lunch, we went for a walk in the woods, only to then turn back as my grandma forgot her walking boots and wasn't walking comfortably in her normal shoes. We then headed to the nearby town of Corbridge for a walk along the river and a look in the shops. We went to Corbridge a couple of years ago, and it's such a lovely place to visit on a day trip.

Until next time,
