Favourite drug store eye makeup

Many apologies for being somewhat MIA on here, but doing three sketchbooks, another course, UCAS forms and a portfolio is very time consuming!
Anyway, here I am once again with a beauty related post.
If I am honest, I only buy drugstore beauty and skincare products because that is what I can afford, but that doesn't mean I don't lust over Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks or silently cry in Space NK because of my small budget...However, I do think there are some great drugstore brands which are affordable and amazing quality. One of my favourites is Bourjois, I use them for blush, foundation, countless eyeshadows and eyebrow pencils and they are all great. I also recently ventured into Topshop's makeup range and was impressed; their products definately live up to the hype.
I have linked all of the products available at Boots and there is currently 3 for 2 on most makeup brands, so if you like the sound of any of these products, be sure to make use of the offer!

First up: my go to eyeliner and new favourite mascara.

Soap & Glory Supercat liner- I have always loved Soap & Glory's bath and body stuff, and then I heard bloggers raving about their makeup so decided to try their liner. I used to use the Revlon ColorStay eye liner, but found that it dried out quite quickly and didn't always last the whole day. The S&G liner is only £6, and it the best I have ever used! The box it comes in is gorgeous, (as you'd expect from the brand), and it is easy to apply, stays all day and is also easy to remove. The latter is especially useful when you mess up on your eyeliner wings!

Maybelline Lash Sensation Mascara- I first saw this over on Holly White's blog and was amazed by how well it works. I used to always use my eyelash curlers to help add length to my lashes, but have found that I don't need to when using this mascara. The colour of the packaging is so pretty, and it applies really well to lengthen and multiply lashes, without any clumps. It is also really easy to take off at the end of the day. (I use Garnier Micellar Water). My friends have even commented that my lashes look longer since I have started using this, and for such a good price, it is most definitely worth it!

Topshop Smokey Eye Palette in Subversive- This is the first Topshop beauty product I have tried, and I um-ed and ah-ed for ages about what product to pick up but I do love a smokey eye and I loved the shades in this palette. The black and dusky pink packaging is so lovely, and it came with a 'how to' sheet for creating a smokey eye, if you haven't done it before. The palette comes with a good sized mirror for seeing your eyes, or even lips, if you wanted to use it when applying lipstick. I think the three shades in the palette are very wearable for daytime and the shades aren't incredibly pigmented, but are very buildable which I like. The palette is also very versatile, as you could wear the three lighter shades as just washes of a smokey eye, or you could build them up and add the black for an evening/nighttime look.

Bourjois eye palette in 04- Rock This Khaki- I made a trip to my local Superdrug the other week, as I was a bit early for my haircut. I was swatching obscene amounts of products onto my hands, as one does in a makeup shop, when this palette caught my eye. To me, it jumps out and screams AUTUMN!!, I have always loved Bourjois products so I knew I had to give it a try.The shades are pigmented and buildable, and range from a creamy, golden grey, to a dark khaki green. I also love the shimmery shade in the centre of the palette, which even works in the daytime. If you are into your darker, more green, smokey eyes then I would highly recommend this palette, some people may find the shades do come out quite dark for daytime, but I don't mind wearing a darker eye look in the day.

No7 eyeshadow (shade unknown)- I got this from my Grandma, which I think she got free in Boots, and I can't find the shade of it so, sorry! I have been wearing this over my My Little Beauty eye crayon, from My Little Box a few months ago, (review of the crayon here) and it creates a similar effect as in Lily Pebble's October Monthly Makeup routine, where she uses the H&M Cream Shadow Pot in Cerico, which I also can't find online. However, I love this combination on my eyes for days when I can't be bothered with eyeliner, as it is quick and easy to do and nice to wear when you want to look more minimal, but still put together.

Let me know your favourite eye products in the comments!

Until next time,
