I have four (well, five) favourites from this past month, mainly beauty related but also a fashion and a lifestyle favourite thrown in for good measure.
My first favourite from April is the Body Shop Seaweed Day Cream for combination skin. After scraping the bottom of my pot of L’Occitane moisturizer to use up every last drop *sniffs*, I was on the hunt for a replacement (£32 for 50ml does not work well with a student budget), and I had loved this cream after being introduced to it at the Body Shop event so decided to pick it up when I was in town last weekend. Alright, I know I haven’t been using it for the entire month but I have been adoring using it in my skincare routine and as a makeup primer in the mornings.
Next up is the Rose Jam Bubbleroon from Lush. THIS SMELLS INSANE. Rose is one of my favourite scents anyway, but this smells incredible and makes my bath bright pink. (Aesthetic right there). It also contains cocoa butter, which is one of my favourite things to use on my skin as it is so beneficial.
Third is my new curling wand from Babyliss. Since chopping all my hair off, I have been loving wearing it curled but cannot use my straighteners to curl my hair to save my life. I spent ages researching the best, and most affordable, curling wands and reading countless reviews on the Boots website. When I bought it, it was only £25 but is now on sale for £20, so go, go, go if you are in the market for a new curling wand!
My Next shoes are my next favourite (even though I wore them without socks and got the WORST blisters ever). Regardless of that fact, they are so comfortable and go with most of my clothes perfectly. Just look at them, they’re so adorable, right?
A random favourite was seeing Muse at the beginning of the month in Manchester. They have been one of my favourite bands since 2009 and were on my ‘to see in concert before I die’ list, so when they announced the Drones World Tour I was adamant that I wanted tickets for my 18th birthday present. I won’t bore everyone with too many details, but it was so amazing with drones flying around the arena and I nearly cried when they played Plug in Baby….
What did you love throughout April?
