But boy could he play guitar

These trousers are possibly the funkiest things I will ever own. I got them new off Ebay and would never have been brave enough to wear them before this year! They are originally from Zara and I love the print on them, the flared bottoms, how perfectly they fit.... they are just a dream.

Favourite things in June

I have now officially finished college so am hoping to spend more time working on my little blog, ahead of its second birthday in August. You also may notice that there have been two posts this week, whaaat?! Since finishing sixth form, I have decided to post twice a week. Tuesday's will be an OOTD or fashion related post, and Friday's will be dedicated to lifestyle- so enjoy!  I am going away to Brighton at the end of July so will be trying to shoot as many outfits as I can, since it is a hella pretty place.

*Disclaimer- I look oddly pale in these photos as I was standing in the rain and cold 'Summer' weather to get the shots-that is dedication for you*

Today, I am working with a local jewellery brand called Mirror Image Accessories, and styling two of their pieces in an outfit. MIA is run by Ellie, and she creates bold, geometric and vintage inspired pieces, all of which are laser cut into acrylic. The quality of the jewellery is amazing, the acrylic itself is really strong, despite the more intricate detailing on the lace pattern of the necklace and the thin legs of the flamingo.

Bee Good Skincare

The other week I woke up to find out that I had won a giveaway with Bee Good and Temporary Secretory blog and was so excited. I love natural skincare anyway, and I am always up for trying new products! The first thing I did when my parcel arrived was obviously take flatlay photos because #BloggerProblems

Jules B Summer Style wishlist

If you have been reading my blog for a while (or just been stalking my old posts....), then you may recall a fashion blogger event I attended at Jules B in Jesmond last September. Jules B are a local company, with shops in Jesmond, Kendal and Yarm, who specialize in designer clothes for men and women. They stock some of my favourite designer brands including Lulu Guinness (all of the swoons), Alice and Olivia and Isabel Marant.
Not only do Jules B stock incredible hand-picked clothing and accessories, but the store decor is stunning, and the staff are so lovely. Designer isn't something I can afford, due to my student budget, but I love browsing their site and dreaming of my first designer purchase in the future (eeeep!)
I've put together three looks for Summer using items from their site, all of which I wish I could own!

Top        Scarf       Sunglasses     Shoes       Skirt

The first look is centered around a Lulu Guinness scarf (how could I resist?), I love the prints of her pieces, the lip print reminds me of 60s pop art and I love the contrast between the red and the black and white stripes. A scarf such as this is SO versatile as well! It could be worn as a headscarf, a necktie/choker or tied on the handle of a bag. It adds a fun pop of colour and print to a outfit. I thought it would look amazing with a black and white tiered Alexander McQueen top tucked into a white denim skirt. Who could  resist the sunglasses too? They are so 60s and go perfectly with the black and white theme to the outfit. As someone who cannot walk anywhere practical in heels, I opted to style the outfit with flat, black sandals, which I think will look SO cute for when I am in Brighton this summer.

It's all in the details

Now, I ain't much of a jewellery wearer usually, but I do like some good old simple, silver pieces which go with any outfit. Coconut Lane are a British based site offering jewellery, prints and stationery, who also have a blogging base called 'The Coconut Queens', and I've now joined their ranks. *insert all of the sassy salsa lady emojis here* You can also get 20% off any order with the code 'hollyolivia20' so go on, treat yo'self! I picked out these two bangles, which are luckily adjustable for my tiny wrists and stack together beautifully. I love the differing thicknesses and textures of them, and think they'd work perfectly alongside my Links of London bracelet, which I got for my 18th.
