M.I.A

*Disclaimer- I look oddly pale in these photos as I was standing in the rain and cold 'Summer' weather to get the shots-that is dedication for you*

Today, I am working with a local jewellery brand called Mirror Image Accessories, and styling two of their pieces in an outfit. MIA is run by Ellie, and she creates bold, geometric and vintage inspired pieces, all of which are laser cut into acrylic. The quality of the jewellery is amazing, the acrylic itself is really strong, despite the more intricate detailing on the lace pattern of the necklace and the thin legs of the flamingo.

I am kinda obsessed with this flamingo brooch, it makes me feel hella sassy. Flamingos and the colour pink are so up my street, especially paired with more neutral blacks and blues, so the outfit doesn't look too overpowering. I opted to style my two MIA pieces with straight blue jeans and a black lace top, the latter of which I have featured on my blog before. Since I last wore it for a post, I have stopped wearing a camisole or vest top, instead opting for just a bra, which feels less conservative and adds more detailing. I also love my MIA lace collar necklace, which adds so much interest to a more simple outfit. I can see it looking great with black jeans and a white camisole, or maybe a blazer. It is so versatile!
You can check out MIA on Etsy here.
*These two items were sent to me to review but all opinions are my own*
