Unboxing: Cambridge Satchel Company x Vivienne Westwood

Hello from Brighton!
This is a bit of a different post for me, and I certainly never thought that I would be writing about such an exciting purchase aged 18! Okay, I know that the Cambridge Satchel Company aren't really designer or highly expensive compared to other brands, but as a student; it was an amazing treat to get and I feel so lucky!
I stumbled upon the Cambridge Satchel Company shop in Brighton on Sunday, and HAD to have a nosy in. They stock the most beautiful, well made satchels and I have been lusting after one since seeing Sophia post about hers! My parents were initially going to put money towards my new lens, as a reward for working hard at college and bagging my apprenticeship but, as my Grandparents bought me it for Christmas, they said I could have something else. I spotted this beauty of a bag in the sale, and we agreed to split the cost, as it was a bit pricey for what they wanted to spend. I um-ed and ah-ed between this and the plain versions, but this one is SO unusual and quirky (and made in collaboration with one of my favourite designers) so I was happy to put my own money in to get it!

Vivienne Westwood x Cambridge Satchel Company bag
The collaboration with Westwood is from last A/W, which is why it was on sale, but I think it is a great bag for all year round, so it being last seasons design doesn't bother me in the slightest. I got the smallest version, which is just big enough for the essentials; lipstick, phone, cardholder, keys and I think it is the perfect everyday size, but it would also be great for an evening out! The print matches Westwood's signature squiggle fabric, and I opted for the dark, navy blue and mustard coloured version, which I think is so versatile and will look adorable with denim dresses! It fastens with two buckles, the design of which is inspired by the buckles on Westwood's iconic pirate boots, and I love the contrast of the colours with the squiggle print.
Like when I got my leather jacket, I feel a new burden on me to care for this bag and to keep it looking pristine for the rest of my life, haha!
Expect an outfit post featuring it very soon!

  1. It looks beautiful, it would make a good present! I don't know if I would go for the printed version but I love the look of plain ones.
