Vintage dress of dreams

If I were to get married anytime soon (unlikely, I know), you can be damn sure that I would be wearing THIS dress. I am honestly in love. Bird on A Wire vintage have an amazing instagram account and I first spotted this dress on the model and was obsessed with the ruffles on the back of it. A couple of months later, I decided to buy it, and have never been filled with more anticipation when waiting for a parcel to arrive.

Dress- Bird on a Wire vintage       Jacket- Oasis (alternative, more biker-style)       Loafers- Primark (similar) (Gucci originals)    Bracelet- Links of London  (not online)    Bag- Primark yeeears ago
I opted to style it with my leather jacket (obvs), and added some simple, silver jewellery and red lips and nails for a pop of colour. I also added my new (not) Gucci loafers, which are actually from Primark and were a steal at £8! I honestly love Primark shoes, my blue boots from there have lasted years and I wear them most days in A/W. The little wicker bag was also from Primark, and I think I got it in about year eight?! I adore how cute it is, and this combo (minus the badass leather jacket) makes me feel like I am going boating or something.
Going back to the dress, it is hella swishy. Like, seriously swishy. I have spent a lot of time twirling around the house in it and even had my own Marilyn circa- The Seven Year Itch moment when shooting this outfit- woops. The lace with the ruffles and cute little bow is just downright adorable, and I think it will be perfect for when I am in Brighton next week!

  1. Oh my gosh that dress!! I can see why you wanted it for so long it is absolutely stunning and perfect on you! You look so gorgeous. I love how you've styled it too for a more modern, edgier look with the leather jacket and loafers and that bag is seriously adorable. I love everything! I also totally agree about Primark shoes being great. Katie xx
