A touch of copper

So, yes, the location of these photos is veeery classy. I also shot these photos on the same day as my previous post, which resulted in outfit changes in the Brighton library loos. However, I felt like the elegance of this dress needed dressing down with some urban graffiti and apparently some colourful bins.

Dress- vintage (alternative brocade dress)  Leather jacket- Oasis (alternative)   Shoes- Tu at Sainsbury's   Rings- Palomita jewellery via Flock Brighton

This dress has a whole lotta history to it. It was first owned by my grandma's godmother, and was worn to many balls in the past. Fast forward a couple of decades and my aunt inherited it and shortened it so she could wear it for clubbing when she was about my age. As she no longer fits into the bodice part of it, she handed it down to me and I love it!
Brocade is really on trend for this coming A/W and I think it looks beautiful with a leather jacket. (which is obviously my go to) I also added some bright orange shoes, which I think add a more modern element to the outfit and clash with the dress in a way which kind of works. The shoes are from Tu at Sainsbury's and are so cool. From the wooden effect block heel, to the mirroring underneath the shoe; they are so quirky and help sass up a simple outfit. To compliment the metallic elements in the dress, I wore a couple of copper rings which I got from a shop called Flock in the lanes, and I adore them. The copper does turn my fingers green, but I guess that could be a fashion statement?
