Embroidered blouse

Last Sunday, we headed into North Shields for the food festival, which is always one of the highlights of my year. I love food anyway, and there is always live music and plenty of good food available- so it is the perfect day out! North Shields has some really pretty streets around it- which are perfect for taking outfit photos on, obvs.

The outfit was centered around this amazing Zara embroidered blouse, which I got in Brighton. Despite trawling the entire website, I can't find it online, so I am guessing it is sold out- boo! It not only looks super cute with jeans, but great with more tailored trousers for the office. I also love the boxy shape and retro vibe to it. As the weather was quite unpredictable and went from hot to rainy in a matter of minutes, I had to throw on a jacket, which gave me a sort of camper vibe. In terms of accessories, I naturally had to pair the outfit with my baker boy cap, to keep the windy weather at bay, and also because it rarely leaves my head. To tone down the girly look of the blouse, I added a black choker, which breaks up the more 60s feel to the outfit and adds a 90s touch- which I think works really well.
In terms of food, I devoured a Little Hippo burger from The Fat Hippo, (not actually made from hippos), which was heavenly albeit difficult to eat elegantly. I also was rather excited by the cocktails in coconuts, which came with a funky little paper pineapple/pear on a stick, and this contained Malibu, rum and pineapple, which was such a lovey summery drink- despite the grey weather.
