My top picks in Brighton

Recently, I have abandoned my more lifestyle centered posts in favour of more fashion content, following a Twitter poll on what content people prefer from me. However, I found some beautiful gems in Brighton and HAD to share them on here, incase anyone is in need of some inspiration of where to go when they're there!

Magazine Brighton- Forfars Bakers Ltd, 22 Trafalgar St, Brighton BN1 4EQ

I love independent magazines such as Betty, Oh Comely and Frankie, and Magazine Brighton is full of beautiful, independent publications! I was VERY controlled and only bought the new Betty magazine, but could have easily gone into debt from buying every fashion magazine that they stock. Situated just off the lanes, it is so easy to get to and is still nestled among plenty of other fab shops.

The Cambridge Satchel Company- 6A Bond St, Brighton BN1 1RD

I've already mentioned this shop numerous times, because I am so damn happy with my new bag from them, but it is well worth visiting their Brighton branch. I mean, how adorable is the exterior?! The staff inside are so friendly and helpful, and replaced my bag strap without any hassle when it snapped, due to an old supplier problem. (My bag is from A/W15, so the issue is sorted now with their new stock!) I am definitely eyeing up the gold Poppy bag, as seen in the centre of the window display, for a possible payday treat one month.

Beyond Retro- 42 Vine Street ,Brighton, BN1 4AG

I'll admit that I went to Beyond Retro with high hopes of finding a pinafore dress, but was disappointed to find that the only ones they had were sizes M-XL, which is definitely not me. Regardless, Beyond Retro is a great vintage shop, stocking such a wide range of affordable clothing from various eras. They also had copies of Stylist magazine by the door, which is a huge bonus as I can never find it anywhere in Newcastle!

Black Mocha-  106 Gloucester Rd, Brighton BN1 4AP

We mainly found this cafe as we were looking for somewhere with a toilet, but we obviously needed cake too! Black Mocha serves the most amazing gluten free cakes and bakes, as well as a really good dairy free dark hot chocolate, which I had. I also tucked into the raw avocado and chocolate mousse cake, which looked, and tasted, incredible! It is a lot healthier than regular cake too, which means you can eat it without feeling guilty. Yay for healthy cake!

Flock- 46 Sydney St, Brighton BN1 4EP

First of all, how stunning is the window display?! Serious heart eye emojis. In my quest to trawl through every vintage shop in Brighton, I visited Flock and fell in love with so much of their stock. They sell vintage clothing and fabrics as well as handmade clothing and jewellery. This was where I picked up the two copper rings, which were featured in my previous post.  I now wish that I had bought some of the stunning vintage ribbons they sold, as they would have been perfect for making into chokers!
