Workwear

As you may or may not know, I recently entered the world of work. I am currently doing a year long apprenticeship at Walton Robinson estate agents as a marketing assistant. I wasn't keen on the idea of suits, so was relieved that I am able to dress more casually at work. Prints and colours are my thing, and I wasn't keen on giving them up so wanted to share how I style these stunning printed trousers for the office!

Trousers- River Island      Blazer- New Look      Cami- Next (not online- similar)     Bag- Cambridge Satchel Company
I am head over heels in love with these trousers. The cigarette-style cut is so flattering and I love the leather effect waistband. The mustard base tones to them will help them transition easily into A/W, and the muted pinks and aubergine elements stop them from being too much of a clashing piece. I paired them with a black cami, which is super comfy for my eight hour shifts, and a longline blazer. I also own a couple of blazers which I wear for work, but I love the more casual look to longline styles and this one also looks really good with dresses for work.
Again, I used my new bag. Working in the centre of Newcastle has its perks in terms of accessibility of plenty of places for grabbing lunch, so I don't need a bag big enough to take food in. I can easily slip my card holder, By Terry Baume De Rose, handcream, keys and phone into this one, which is all I need. If I pack carefully then I can also fit a mini Batiste dry shampoo in for those bad fringe days.

  1. Congratulations on your apprenticeship! The only time I wore suits or something similar were when I went to interviews, luckily I can wear casual :) Those trousers are so pretty, love the big floral prints.

    1. Thank you! I was so worried I'd have to wear a suit, they just aren't comfortable enough for sitting in for eight hours! x

Similarly I could speak all the time about work clothes. Simple, elegant yet with a twist outfits are what I usually go for! Best wishes, Iga http://www.igaberry.com
