It's the little things...

A couple of weeks ago, an email appeared in my inbox from James Viana, who make really beautiful and delicate jewellery; one thing which I especially love about James Viana is that they give 10% of their profits to charities which work on causes for women. They kindly sent me the .925 Sterling Silver Pendant which is studded with Cubic Zirconia gemstones. In general, I don't wear much jewellery, mainly just my watch and Links of London bracelet, but this pendant suits my style perfectly and is so delicate that it can be worn with anything without being overpowering. They also have provided you, my readers, with a 20% off voucher code to use before the end of the year! Just use 'JVBO20%' at the checkout; you can thank me later.

The first time I wore the necklace was when I was in Liverpool for seeing White Lies at the weekend. We set off about 10am from Newcastle and had a few hours to look around the city before heading to Pizza Express (YAS!) and then to the gig. In terms of my outfit; I went for a kinda-matchy, kinda-clashing look with a leopard print bobble hat and floral dress combo. The dress was a bargain find in the Primark sale- I'm talking £5 here, people! The cut of it is kinda seventies, which I love and I am also digging the combination of the low neckline, pussy bow and necklace. As it is nearly Winter, I had to throw on my Miss Selfridge faux fur coat from a couple of years ago, to keep me from freezing- Liverpool was very cold!

Aside from the hat, I decided to keep it quite minimal with accessories, pairing my James Viana necklace with my beloved Hillhouse Vintage bag, leather gloves (for warmth) and my pink trainers. I knew I might be walking around a lot in Liverpool, so didn't want to wear any of my heeled boots and these trainers are perfect for trekking about in. These photos were shot in two locations; the first being in the town centre on the steps of St George's Hall, and the second being at the Albert Docks which is very pretty indeed on an evening!

  4. Really pretty necklace. It's always so nice to add a little bit of sparkle somewhere around face. Jewellery is a little bit like perfume, last touch that can make it or break it outfit. Iga http://www.igaberry.com

  7. You need to wear that necklace more, it's beautiful on you! Also, I can't get over how snuggly you look in that coat and bobble hat combo.
