Sacred Monster

I have been excited about this week for a while now! Firstly for this blog post, as these photos which I took with Emma a couple of weeks ago are my favourites of me ever and also for my university interview at Huddersfield, which is on Wednesday. It is also NE1 Restaurant Week, which is possibly my favourite week in Newcastle; there are so many amazing deals on in local restaurants so it is a great chance to try new food.

As in keeping with one of my new year's resolutions to shop less, I haven't been doing much high street sales shopping and instead have been doing more Depop, charity shop and vintage scouring to find some new pieces for less, and am so happy that this entire outfit (excluding the accessories) is secondhand!

Coat- Urban Outfitters via Depop  (similar)      Sweatshirt- AC for AG jeans via Vestiaire Collective        Skirt- Topshop via Depop  (similar)      Tights- Primark           Bag- Mango  (sold out!)        Shoes- Debenhams

The coat you've seen before in posts or on my Instagram, but I am still in love with it. It's an Urban Outfitters number and was barely worn when I bought it off Depop. The fit is oversized and pretty slouchy; making it super warm for these freezing cold days which we've been having recently. It also has huge pockets, which are great for storing snacks in (priorities) and they also double-up as gloves for when I've forgotten mine; this is usually the case.

I wore my new AC for AG sweatshirt, which I've had my eye on since it came out all that time ago and I had been eyeing up this exact one on Vestiaire Collective for about a year, so managed to get a really good bargain on it from the seller. It's going to go oh-so-well with my large collection of a-line skirts and I love the slightly grungy, tomboy feel that it has to it. Speaking of a-line skirts, I've had my eye on this style of skirt for years since the aforementioned AG jeans collection came out and I was also desperate for the Topshop version but it sold out in my size. I found this one on my beloved Depop and am looking forward to wearing it more during the Winter and also in the Summer! It is such a flattering shape for my figure and is oh-so-seventies, which I adore.

I was never a huge 'bag girl', opting mainly for backpacks or tote bags but, lately, I seem to have developed a bit of an obsession with them! This bag is the newest in my collection and was a steal in the Mango sale, it also is an insane Chloe Faye dupe, which we know is one of the go-to blogger bags! The dusky pink colour of it is so on-trend for this season, but it does also come in navy blue. It is sold out online but I found this one in my local Mango store, so there may still be some around.

Lastly, onto the shoes! I had a pair of glittery Converse years ago and wore them until they basically fell apart, but could never find any to replace them. My parents got me these amazing ones from Debenhams for Christmas, they aren't Converse but they are pretty similar (and silver!) and I really love the thick sole which they have, it gives off a bit more of a sporty vibe. If I could have worn this type of trainer in PE at school then you can be dead sure that I would have actually wanted to participate!
