Mais non

Bonjour! Last week was quite an exciting one, with me confirming my unconditional offer with Huddersfield Uni, which now has me all giddy for September so I can finally start my career in fashion. To celebrate, we headed to Ikea at the weekend, albeit a bit early for buying things for my uni room but I got some vanilla scented candles and new Tupperware for taking my lunch to work; thrilling times.

I also received some rather exciting blogger mail, which you may have seen over on my Snapchat (@hollyoliviablog), so expect to see that on here in a couple of weeks! My 'to blog' box is currently overflowing with clothes which I want to shoot and feature on my blog so I hopefully won't be short of content for a while....

Beret, Scarf- Accessorize  (Similar beret, scarf)     Dress, coat - Topshop  (Similar coat)     Bag- Kate Spade    Earrings- ASOS

These photos were taken rather last minute, just as the sun decided to creep out; hence why I am looking down or squinting in every single photo. Despite that, this look is one of my favourites which I have ever worn! The dress is new in and I actually tried it on originally whilst I was killing time before my interview in Huddersfield but didn't have the money to buy it as well as my Metro pass for this month so had to let it go. Come payday, it then sold out online in my size (boo!) and the 'check in store' tool didn't list any nearby so I felt pretty defeated. A sad mooch around Topshop in Newcastle did result in me finding the dress again so I obviously had to have it. Smock dresses have never suited me hugely but the tie waist of this one makes it oh-so-flattering and is also handy for when you've eaten a heck load of food and need to let your stomach breathe slightly; AKA loosening the belt... I am also besotted with the sleeves, I love the shape of them and the details on the cuffs, it is such a sweet dress and I would wear it every day if I could.

When piecing together this outfit, the accessories were the next thing on my list and the beret and scarf were both complete steals in the Accessorize sale! I adore the colour of the beret with my hair, and it matched my lipstick perfectly, which is alway a winner. The scarf is the same one which I already have in pink, but I love it so much and had to have the grey version too once I spotted it in on the sale rail. Possibly my new favourite accessory is my earrings; so much so that I ordered another pair straight away after one of mine fell out in Newcastle.

For the coat, I had to chuck on my good old leopard print number since it adds to the Parisian vibes which I am getting from this look. (It also hasn't been featured for a couple of weeks on here so I obvs had to bring it back). I then added my trusty fishnets and black boots, perfect for hurrying around in whilst doing errands!

And by the way, I wouldn't call it 'squinting', you had the edgy 'model glare' down perfectly. Haha.
