The past week has been pretty hectic with work and some exciting blog opportunities, so I am at a bit of a loss as to what to write in my weekly round-up! I've been re-evaluating myself a bit, especially my new year's resolution to 'spend less', which I am kind of failing at. Despite Topshop's insanely beautiful new season clothing, I have been fairly restrained and have been to more vintage sales and charity shops as well as scouring my beloved Depop for items to swap/ buy.

I also got my first tattoo a couple of weeks ago! I had it done at Northside Tattooz in Whitley Bay by Adam Smith, who is a really talented artist. It does need a bit of touching up, but the dotwork style is exactly what I was after and I can now show off my bee tattoo when wearing my bee earrings and bee shirt, to resemble a crazy bee lady.

This week I am working with Laundry B, an online women's boutique who also have stores around the country. I hadn't heard of them before they contacted me, but I can't believe that I hadn't! They have such a wide array of clothing and accessories available, so it was difficult to choose just one item to style. I ended up picking this boxy striped top, as it gave me real French-60s vibes, which is perfect for my style. I also love the tie detail on the back, it is such a cute touch and really works to add a more feminine feel to a print which is so traditionally masculine.

I styled it with my (really old) New Look jeans, which fit perfectly and, because they are so skinny, work well when paired with the loose silhouette of the top to balance the outfit. I also wore my new-but-old trench coat which is a kid's size so was really cheap on Depop. I've wanted a traditional trench for ages and have scoured many a vintage fair with no success, but I am super glad I found this one for a fraction of the price of a woman's coat!

In terms of accessories, I wore a cap which I picked up at the Vintage Weigh & Pay sale a couple of months ago. It is actually a vintage French military cap,  judging by the label inside and I really love items which have a history to them so am definitely going to look into the background of the regiment it belonged to.

Alongside this, I opted for red accessories, which is one of the key trends for S/S17. I wore my new Poppy bag from The Cambridge Satchel Company: I had been lusting after the mini-Poppy for ages so jumped on the chance to get its big sister whilst I had a discount code and free shipping. The bag itself is stunning and also fits my DSLR in, so is really practical. The shoes are from Next and have been all over my Instagram feed and blogs I read so I was super excited when I picked them up; slingbacks are so on-trend this season and red is one of my favourite colours so they are pretty much perfect. I actually had to return them earlier this week though, as the leather peeled off, which was such a shame since I was beyond smitten!
