Skincare Routine 2017

So my first week not working was pretty weird but so relaxing, I've enjoyed being able to work more on my blog and social media as well as going charity shopping. Alongside this, to earn a bit of money, I worked at the Quayside Market in Newcastle last Sunday, which was really enjoyable, and I am also working at a Kilo Sale in Durham this Saturday, and am hoping to bag some bargains whilst at work!

It has been a while since I did a skincare post, let alone a skincare routine, but my last one is still one of my most popular posts and seems to constantly be in 'Popular Posts' in my blog sidebar, so I thought I would do an updated one. My skin has got a lot better since I wrote my original post, so I have been using a lot of different products on it.

NAOBAY Oxygenating Foam Cleanser
I still start my skincare routine by using Garnier Micellar Water to remove my makeup, I did have a fling with Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish but couldn't afford to keep buying it, so have stuck with Garnier. I then cleanse my face with the NAOBAY Oxygenating Foam Cleanser which I got for Christmas. First of all, this smells insane! It is also so gentle and doesn't sting or irritate my skin at all, even on any blemishes. I use this morning and night to cleanse my skin and remove any impurities.

Edit London Blackhead Extraction Paste
About once a week I will use a facemask, but I also use them when my skin is just feeling a bit sore or I have a breakout/ clogged pores. The above one by Provence Beauty is really nice and I mix it with rose water to create a paste, which helps with any redness or blemishes on my face. I picked it up in TK Maxx, but unfortunately can't find it online to link! I also use the Edit London Blackhead Extraction Paste which I reviewed here, but it works really effectively to remove blackheads and unclog my pores.

The Body Shop Drops of Youth Essence Lotion
After my skin has been cleansed, I follow with The Body Shop Drops of Youth Essence Lotion, which helps to keep my skin hydrated and looking young. I know that I am a little young to be using anti-aging products, but starting early can help to delay signs of ageing and I also have some lines on my forehead due to the amount of time I spend frowning (apparently I am a huge grump) which this is helping to reduce.

L'Occitane Pivoine Sublime Perfecting Cream
I used to use this L'Occitane moisturiser a couple of years ago, but then decided it was too pricey for a student budget. However recently, my skin had been scarring a lot more and I was noticing more redness, so decided to pick this up again as I knew that it worked for me before. I think it has gone up in price again since I bought it, but a little goes a long way and my previous jar lasted me for ages. It also smells beautiful and is pink!

The Body Shop Seaweed Night Treatment
I finish off my skincare routine with The Body Shop Seaweed Night Treatment which helps to reduce oils on your skin overnight and is also really good for hydration, due to the gel consistency. I also use the Seaweed Day Cream from the same range as a makeup primer in the mornings, this was recommended to me by one of The Body Shop's makeup artists and it is one of the best products I have ever used to prime my skin!
