I have a really long wishlist of pieces which I scour through Depop, eBay and Vestiaire Collective for on a weekly basis, and I love the feeling of finally finding something that you have been waiting to buy.
You know when you see something you love and wait for it to go on sale, only to miss out on it? That’s what happened to all the pieces I loved from the first Archive by Alexa collection at M&S; recently I’ve had my eBay alerts set and have been searching Depop for the pieces which I fell in love with over a year ago now.
One of these was the Hattie cami, the perfect vintage inspired camisole which looks amazing with skirts and jeans and resembles something you’d dream of finding in a vintage shop. I managed to find it on eBay and was so happy when I did, despite it being in a pale green colour (I’d have preferred the white version but no one is selling it), however, the green is pale enough to still go with most of my clothes and not look odd.
I wore it with my favourite vintage shorts, which I picked up for free when I worked at a Kilo Sale and are in the loveliest paisley print. The shape and style of them is so flattering and they work really well with bare legs or fishnet tights: I wasn’t brave enough to go bare-legged on this particular day.
For accessories, I went with my new Cambridge Satchel Company bag which was made in collaboration with My Bag Online. I was actually lucky enough to win this bag in a competition and I’m so in love with it! It’s the prettiest colour and a great size for every day. I also love that it has the option to wear it crossbody or carry it by the handle.
My sunglasses are perhaps THE sunglasses of the season and have been doing the rounds on Instagram. Resembling sunnies worn by Kurt Cobain, they have been replicated by designers including YSL but mine were a steal for less than £2 on eBay, and the quality is actually pretty good considering the low price.
I also wore my Miu Miu dupe shoes from Topshop, which match pretty well with my bag in terms of colour and also look good against the fishnets. Thanks to my feet which blister easily, I have several blisters on my toes and heels, so sandals seemed out of the question for me but these are comfy enough to wear albeit with my plethora of plasters.
*I’d like to dedicate this post to my Nan who sadly passed away last week. (Thank you to anyone who left a comment mentioning her on my last post, by the way) I am still in shock so can’t fully express myself yet but I know that she always loved my blog so would want me to continue to post xx*
