Styling silver for daywear

I've been bit of a busy bee this week, with working at a vintage kilo sale on Sunday (and finding some bargains!) and then working this week to flyer for a different vintage fair, which involved carting my suitcase full of 5,000 leaflets through the pouring rain (and definitely gaining some more muscle in the process!).

There were also a couple more blogs which I was featured on last week, including on my friend Rhiannon's blog, where I wrote a post about styling silk scarves, and on STANCE, which is a uni project by the gorgeous Amara- you should definitely follow her on Instagram if you don't already and let me know if you've read either post!

I collaborated with KoKo Couture last year and was so impressed with the design, quality and price of their bags; it's no wonder they're also stocked in Topshop! I'm collaborating with them again on this post and they kindly let me pick one of their bags from the Spring/ Summer collection to style. Being the Noel Fielding/ Bowie lover that I am, I had to go for something in silver. Since the slight demise of my silver boots (RIP my loves), my wardrobe has been lacking silver and the Robyn bag in silver has definitely filled that void! (Since I originally wrote this post, I may have also bought a pair of silver mary jane shoes for a mere £4 in the New Look sale, oops).

The Robyn bag is branded as a 'party bag' but, for me, silver doesn't need to be limited to just being a party colour, I happily wear it whenever so I decided to style up the bag for a day-to-day look. I wore this amazing blue mini dress which I got in a charity shop back in February, it is such a good fit and sits quite tightly on the bust and then flares out, which is super flattering and creates a vintage feel to the dress. The details on it are gorgeous too; I also love the large button details on both the front and the back of the dress, as well as the darts on the bust and waist which add to the lovely gorgeous shape of it.

With the dress, I wore a hydrangea print bomber jacket, which I got for Christmas from my Aunt, I think the more sporty vibe of the bomber works really well with the dress and bag, especially considering the dressed down vibe that I was going for with the outfit. I also threw on my fave fishnet tights and glittery trainers, which work with the silver bag and, I think, help to tie the whole outfit together.
