Although I seem to have an ever expanding wardrobe, there are a few key pieces which I am constantly hunting for that I know will stand the test of time and be worn constantly. There was the leather jacket that I got for my 18th, the perfect denim A-line mini skirt, the perfect trench and pair of Levi 501's, but something which I have recently added to my wardrobe after hunting for was the perfect vintage embroidered top.

I love the traditional Hungarian embroidered tops and blouses, but vintage ones tend to rip or tear easily, due to the thin fabric, and traditional ones online can be pretty pricey. The Muzungu Sisters source beautiful traditional Hungarian embroidery but the prices are a bit out of my budget, sadly. I settled for a somewhat more wearable and modern (which is actually vintage) top that I found on Depop. As it is vintage, some of the embroidery is coming loose slightly (let me know if anyone has tips on how to prevent/ fix that!) but it is generally in a lovely condition and will last me years if I hand wash it to help preserve the stunning embroidery.

The embroidery is honestly the best thing about this top, the colours, style and boldness of it is so unique and incredibly pretty, the fit is also lovely, it is slightly oversized but has slightly ballooned sleeves, which I think looks really flattering.

Jeans | Vintage Levi 501's via Depop
Sunglasses | Quay Australia via TK Maxx
Bag | Vintage via eBay
Sandals | Old Sainsbury's

I styled the top with my Levi 501's, which have almost instantly become my favourite pair of jeans, they are oh-so-flattering, high waisted, the nicest wash of denim and look really cool with the bottoms rolled up. They are a little tight on the waist but are perfect apart from that.

For accessories, I went with my old Sainsbury's sandals which complement the orange tones in the top perfectly and also look good with the rolled up hem of the jeans, to elongate the leg. I also wore my new favourite sunglasses from Quay, which were a bargain from TK Maxx and add a more retro vibe to any outfit.

The bag is new and you'll have seen it a lot already if you follow me on Instagram. I won it in the last 30 seconds of an eBay auction and was slightly unsure about it until it arrived and now I am smitten! String bags are quite popular this season so I like that I can be on trend but have a completely unique piece, rather than a mass produced, fast fashion bag. String bags aren't the most practical, which is why I threw a clutch bag with my essentials in into my bag to keep everything safe and more secure.
